About This Role

Software that doesn't work is worse than no software. QA engineers are the guardians of quality — they prevent bugs from reaching users, catch regressions early, and give engineering teams confidence to ship fast. In this internship you'll master both manual and automated testing.

What You'll Work On

• Software testing fundamentals: test planning, test cases, bug reporting
• Manual testing: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory
• Selenium WebDriver with Python or Java: writing automated UI tests
• API testing with Postman: collections, environments, assertions, Newman
• Test frameworks: pytest / JUnit / TestNG
• Page Object Model (POM) design pattern
• CI/CD integration: running tests in GitHub Actions pipelines
• Performance testing basics with Apache JMeter
• Bug tracking with Jira and writing professional bug reports

Skills You'll Build

• Manual Testing — Test case design, equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis
• Selenium — Browser automation, locators, waits, test suites
• Postman / API Testing — Request chaining, assertions, mock servers
• Python or Java — For test automation scripting
• CI/CD — GitHub Actions, test reporting
• Jira — Bug lifecycle, sprint boards, documentation

Do I need programming experience?
Basic Python or Java is helpful. If you have no prior coding experience, start with the Data Analytics track first to build Python basics.

Is QA a good career?
Excellent. QA engineers are needed at every software company. Senior QA/automation engineers earn salaries comparable to developers.

What certifications can I get?
The AIIP Internship Certificate is the primary credential. We also guide you toward ISTQB Foundation Level certification during the program.
